We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security and infrastructure requirements for the development and testing environment. You will also work closely with Architecture and Operations teams to integrate new solutions and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of solutions required for new projects.
What you can look forward to:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining security/infrastructure requirements for the development/testing environment
- Working in close collaboration with Architecture and Operations to integrate new solutions
- Ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of solutions required for new projects
- Ensuring a high integration of infrastructure/security components
- Helping to drive architectural improvements and standardization for the infrastructure/security environments
- Developing and enhancing automated processes to release new solutions into the live environment
- Ensuring controls are in place for all configuration items, and only authorized changes are made for all assets within the enterprise IT environment
- Ensuring adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures within the Engineering service scope
- Evaluation of new technology and bringing forward opportunities that would improve the future network infrastructure, performance, and contribution to evolving those standards
- Planning, designing, and rolling out new network solutions, including life cycle (new & like-for-like) through project work
- Creating and maintaining related documentation
- Developing, owning, and maintaining detailed technical standards (code & hardware versions, scripts, and templates) per technology
- Designing and implementing solutions based on agreed architecture roadmaps and handbooks
- Service Improvement – reviewing and guiding service providers for addressing clean-up or correction of network designs or configs
- SME – Acting as an SME for one or multiple connectivity technologies and providing support/consultation
To easily manage this role you should have:
- University degree level education or comparable education in Computer Science OR work experience as a senior network engineer in a global enterprise
- Experience in designing, planning, documenting, and implementing Network solutions using the latest technology
- Experience in SME (Subject Matter Expert) relevant experience in routing and switching, Software-defined LAN networks, and Wireless technologies
- Hands-on technical experience with Software-defined networking (SD-LAN/D-WAN) integration and wireless infrastructure
- Strong and proven record in configuring QoS on both WAN and LAN
